The below desperate man succumbing to the fallacious arguments that were initially presented by the Communists in Russia and Nazi Germany.  The people were desperate and pushed in to agreeing with whoever came along that had a positive spin.  This man, I believe, is desperate and although well intentioned, doesn’t really understand that legalizing this is only going to put the next drug (“harsh drug”) in to the status the marijuana enjoys today.   The cartels across the border don’t care what they deal in.  They care only about the profit.  Heroine is just as easy and cocaine is ready many forms.  The reality is that the geographies that HAVE legalized it have an increase in crime due to, what amounts to, institutionalized advertising.  The reason that the the government may WANT to make it legal is not to “make money” through taxes, but to make money through promulgation and increase of head count in UN “social” programs.  You see.  The drug and crimes associated with distribution aren’t really milking enough from you the tax payer, so now they have to go another rout. Conversely, the drug dealers aren’t making enough “just” from drugs alone.  They are multi tasking.  People trafficing seems to be where it’s at, along side the drugs.  They go hand in hand.  It’s a 2 for 1 stop.  Get your drug and a girl all at the same place.  No need to go to a few different “distributors.”  It’s a special type of Wal Mart.

The drug dealers are crippling those who are their patronage.  Yet, the victims of this brain damage are so addicted that they protect their perpetrators.

Here is another – absolutely true.  But let the “government official” pot heads tell you that the only way is to legalize it.  Why not just give up our sovereignty as a nation, because it’s too hard to keep it.  Think about it.  Isn’t it just because the fed has been  inept at the punishments and deterrents?

The real reason why LAW enforcement isn’t working on drugs, is because there is no real “punishment.”  It’s more lucrative to continue the idea that the drug trade can’t be fixed, then to create a penal code with punishments and deterrents that MAKE SENSE.    Instead, the politician give politically correct lip service and g-d forbid you stand up and call them liars and inept.

California ‘High Risk’ Prisoners Wrongly Released Due to Computer Errors

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Published May 26, 2011

SACRAMENTO –  Computer errors resulted in some 450 inmates with “a high risk for violence” being wrongly released from California prisons, the Los Angeles Times reported in its Thursday edition.

On top of the 450, more than 1,000 prisoners, deemed to be at high risk of committing drug and property crimes, were also released into the community.

All the offenders were placed on “non-revocable parole” — a program that does not require them to report to parole officers. The program, which started in January 2010, was intended for inmates considered to be at low risk of reoffending.

Reviewing 200 case files of the 10,134 former inmates on non-revocable parole last July, investigators uncovered that 31 were not eligible for the program, while nine of the 31 were deemed likely to commit a violent crime.

It was estimated, using a 15 percent error rate found in the sample, that more than 450 violent prisoners were let go in the program’s first seven months.

However, the findings were disputed by prison officials who said that some of the computer glitches had since been corrected, making the margin of error eight percent, according to a report by the inspector general.

None of the wrongly-released offenders have since been placed on supervised parole or returned to jail, inspector general spokeswoman Renee Hansen said.

Authorities declined to name the concerned prisoners and would not say what crimes they had committed.

On Monday, a divided Supreme Court ordered California to reduce prison overcrowding, a decision that could force the release of tens of thousands of inmates.

California Federation of Teachers – support, cop killer, Mumia Abu-Jamal of the Black Panthers – who support the Muslim Brotherhood in America

Teachers support cop-killer

By Caroline May – The Daily Caller | Published: 3:36 PM 04/11/2011 | Updated: 6:13 AM 04/12/2011

Between negotiating for more benefits and teaching their students, the California Federation of Teachers has adopted a resolution of support for convicted cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal.

At the CFT’s 2011 Convention in late March, the delegates passed 30 resolutions, from solidifying support for anti-bullying legislation to supporting transitional kindergarten. Among the resolutions largely pertaining to education and collective bargaining rights was Resolution 19 – to “Reaffirm support for death row journalist.”

“Therefore, be it resolved, that the California Federation of Teachers reaffirm its support and demand that the courts consider the evidence of innocence of Mumia Abu-Jamal,” the Committee Report reads.

Mumia Abu-Jamal was a former member of the Black Panthers who was found guilty of murdering Philadelphia police officer Daniel J. Faulkner during a routine traffic stop in 1981. Abu-Jamal was subsequently sentenced to death.

His supporters, such as the California Federation of Teachers, argue that his trial was unfair and that he is a civil rights hero.

“Mumia Abu-Jamal has for decades as a journalist fought courageously against racism and police brutality and for the human rights of all people and has taken strong stands in support of working people involved in labor struggles and in support of well-funded, quality, public education,” the resolution reads.

Daniel Flynn, author of “Cop killer: How Mumia Abu-Jamal conned millions into believing he was framed” told The Daily Caller that Abu-Jamal was the poster-child for ending the death penalty…20 – 30 years ago.

“Somebody should tell the California Teachers Federation that this is over, he is in jail, he is going to stay there,” Flynn said. “You have numerous eyewitnesses saying Mumia did it. You had ballistic evidence – Mumia’s gun at the scene was consistent with the bullet used to kill Faulkner. Mumia admitted after the fact that he did it.”

Fred Glass, CFT spokesman, told TheDC that the even though the case is 30 years old, since Abu-Jamal is still going through appeals, the issue remains relevant.

“The delegates decided it was time to reiterate that they supported him due to the irregularities that they felt had taken place during his case,” said Glass. “They see this as a civil liberties issue, it is quite common for the CFT to take positions on broad social matters like this.”

More Taxpayer Benefits For Illegal Immigrants’ Education

Last Updated: Thu, 03/17/2011 – 12:12pm

A state that has long awarded illegal immigrants with discounted tuition at public colleges and universities wants to take it a step further by also giving them millions of dollars in taxpayer-funded scholarships and financial aid.

Under a measure that’s quickly making its way through California’s legislature, illegal immigrants will have access to state-funded financial aid as well as tens of millions of dollars in scholarship money that’s annually funneled through public foundations. Although illegal aliens have for years benefitted from heavily discounted in-state tuition at all California institutions of higher education, current law bans them from receiving additional aid and scholarships.

The new bill—known as the California Dream Act—was introduced by a state lawmaker from Los Angeles and could reverse that policy by the end of the year. The measure was approved this week by a state legislative committee and has a great chance of becoming law because, unlike his predecessor who thrice vetoed it, California Governor Jerry Brown has vowed to sign it.

If it passes, illegal immigrants attending California’s smallest university system—the 10-campus UC system—stand to receive between $2 million and $3 million a year in added benefits. Officials in the state’s two other systems, Cal State with 23 campuses and 112 community colleges have yet to estimate the figure but it’s sure to be a lot higher. The timing couldn’t be worst in a devastated public college system that’s suffering through a debilitating $500 million budget cut.

But the assemblyman who has long pushed for the California Dream Act, Democrat Gil Cedillo, claims it will finally give students who were brought to the U.S. through no choice of their own a true chance at the American dream. His bill will also help correct injustices against immigrants because he says “immigration policy throughout our history has been shaped by racism, fears of foreign influence, the anxiety generated from economic downturns and by political opportunism.”

The president of California’s more prestigious UC system, Mark Yudof, refers to the illegal immigrants enrolled in his campuses as “leaders of tomorrow” whose “outstanding accomplishments” should not be disregarded or their future jeopardized “simply because of their legal status.”

Besides California nine other states—including Texas, Utah, Kansas and New York—offer illegal immigrants discounted tuition at public colleges and several others have contemplated legislation to offer the perk. A few weeks ago Judicial Watch filed a taxpayer lawsuit against the Board of Trustees of Maryland’s Montgomery College for unlawfully granting discounted “in county” tuition rates to illegal aliens who graduate from local high schools.

California – FALLBROOK (near San Diego) – ACID Bomb – New trend?

FALLBROOK: Small ‘bomb’ detonated in mailbox

FALLBROOK —- A suspected “acid bomb” in a 16-ounce water bottle was exploded inside a mailbox in the 4300 block of La Canada Road in Fallbrook on Sunday afternoon, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said.

The resident who owns the mailbox called authorities shortly before 3 p.m. to report seeing a silver Nissan pickup driving away from the home about the time of the detonation.

A Sheriff’s Department helicopter tracked a vehicle matching the description to Interstate 15 and Deer Springs Road near Escondido, but it turned out the vehicle was probably not connected to the incident, the department said.

The mailbox survived the small blast, and a county hazardous materials team cleaned up the debris to neutralize any remaining chemicals, according to a news release.

The Sheriff’s Department warned that any “sealed device containing chemically reactive substances assembled for the purposes of causing an explosion” qualifies as a destructive device in California.

Possession of any such device is punishable by up to one year in state prison and a $10,000 fine.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Department at 858-565-5200.

DOJ Gave Millions to Illegal Immigrant ‘Sanctuaries,’ Report Finds:

Posted on November 12, 2010 by 1dragonLeave a comment

The Department of Justice has spent tens of millions of dollars this year to compensate more than two dozen states, counties and cities for their costs of jailing illegal immigrants — even though those communities have adopted policies that obstruct immigration enforcement, according to a recently released report.

“Subsidizing Sanctuaries: The State Criminal Alien Assistance Program,” a report from the Center for Immigration Studies, found that the federal grant program commonly known as SCAAP allocated $62.2 million — more than 15 percent of its $400 million total — to 27 jurisdictions that are widely considered to be “sanctuary communities.”

<This is an actual PROGRAM?  This is crazy.  Why is our government trying to overthrow this SAID government.>

Some of those jurisdictions — including San Francisco, Chicago and California’s Santa Clara County — are even trying to opt-out of Secure Communities, a program that automatically alerts Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials when criminal illegal immigrants are booked into jail, according to the report.

Jessica Vaughan, director of policy studies at the Center for Immigration Studies and a co-author of the report, said that the grant system as currently structured makes little sense.

“Basically, the federal government is subsidizing through this grant program jurisdictions that on the one hand are complaining about the cost of illegal immigration and demanding reimbursement from the federal government, while at the same time they have policies in place that make their locality a magnet for illegal aliens,” Vaughan told

“And that’s just illogical,” she said.

According to Department of Justice figures cited in the report, five of the top 10 SCAAP grants to localities and two of the top 10 grants to states went to jurisdictions that are considered sanctuaries. That includes $14.2 million to Los Angeles County, $13.4 million to New York City and $88 million to the state of California.

Rather than award SCAAP grants to jurisdictions that incur costs of incarcerating undocumented criminal aliens, Vaughan said federal officials should use the grant program as an incentive for communities to participate in immigration enforcement programs like Secure Communities or the 287(g) program, which trains deputies to check the immigration status of individuals they arrest and has identified more than 180,000 illegal immigrants for deportation nationwide

since 2006.

In a statement obtained by, U.S. Rep. Gary Miller, R-Calif., said he disagreed with funding sanctuary cities using SCAAP grants and called on the Obama administration to take action.

“In its lawsuit challenging the Arizona immigration law, the Obama administration claims that the law creates a patchwork of immigration enforcement,” Miller’s statement read. “If this is the case, then the Obama administration should also sue sanctuary cities, for their policies are arguably a ‘patchwork’ of immigration enforcement as well. It is time for the administration to end its double standard.”

To that end, Miller has authored legislation — the Loophole Elimination and Verification Enforcement Act, or LEAVE — that would prohibit sanctuary communities from receiving both Department of Justice and Department of Homeland Security funds.

“I hope the next Congress will take up this commonsense proposal and penalize sanctuary cities for their irresponsible policies,” Miller’s statement concluded.

In a statement to, the Department of Justice said it administers the SCAAP grants in accordance with legislation authorizing the program and passed by Congress.

“Funding under this program is provided to any eligible jurisdiction that incurs costs associated with detaining criminal aliens,” the statement read. “SCAAP does not inhibit, but rather supports the accountability process by reimbursing local agency costs for detaining illegal aliens who commit crimes.”

The statement continued, “Making any jurisdiction ineligible for these funds could have an unintended consequence — creating a disincentive to detain criminals  who are greater flight risks and pose a danger to our communities. The Department of Justice is committed to providing support to our state and local partners to protect the safety of communities.”

Bob Dane, a spokesman for the Federation for American Immigration Reform, suggested that the number of sanctuary communities would reduce significantly if the DOJ grants were discontinued.

“One of the best fixes is to deny state and federal funding to the places that harbor illegal aliens,” Dane said. “The entire country is slowly but surely moving from a sanctuary mentality to a ‘fix it’ mentality, but you’ve got these remaining pockets of resistance, many of them in big cities.”

Dane continued, “You hit ‘em where it hurts, in the wallet, and maybe they’ll get it. We’re reimbursing cities for a problem of their own making.”

George Soros – seeks “reshape the judiciary in the mold of progressives who believe the Constitution should be interpreted through the filter of personal desires”

October 30, 2010

That man is in his 70’s.

He is mortal

What man that comes to this stage of life and doesn’t ponder how his power can be used?

All feel their mortality.  What they do with these DESPERATE feelings?

Soros may well wish to be G-d. He wishes to wield his power and CREATE his own world.  For good or bad?  It doesn’t really matter to him.  It’s his creation, so the question is moot.  The question is obsolete.  G-d’s create worlds and THAT is good (for them.)

Only the people bound within the limits of this world have a notion of what is good or bad, because the effects are only FELT be these individuals and not the G-d’s that create the worlds that they occupy.

George Soros (HungarianSoros György) (pronounced /ˈsɔroʊs/ or /ˈsɔrəs/,[2] Hungarian IPA: [ˈʃoroʃ]; born August 12, 1930, as Schwartz György) is a Hungarian-American currency speculatorstock investor, businessman, philanthropist, and social activist.[3] He became known as “the Man Who Broke the Bank of England” after he made a reported $1 billion during the 1992 Black Wednesday UK currency crises.[4][5] Soros had correctly anticipated that the British government would have to devalue the pound sterling.

Soros is Chairman of the Soros Fund Management and the Open Society Institute and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Council on Foreign Relations. He played a significant role in the peaceful transition fromCommunism to Capitalism in Hungary (1984–89)[5] and provided Europe’s largest-ever higher education endowment to Central European University in Budapest.[6]

I have said this before.  Victims become their oppressors if they are not properly restricted.  They know the power of the aggressor that they fought against.  They UNDERSTAND their trespasser and seek to never be trespassed that way again.  The victim becomes that person, unless they realize what they are doing and in some instances, it doesn’t matter when they know.  They FEAR it so much that THEY keep it so close to them that they CONSUME it.  They become it.  Because if they become it, then they can’t be consumed by it.  This is a FALSE LOGIC.  It’s false, because by becoming that which they felt victim against, they have allowed that EVIL to emerge in them and IT wins.

Exposed! Soros’ proposal for ‘elite’ judiciary

‘How many Elena Kagans and David Souters can America tolerate?’
Posted: October 30, 2010
1:00 am Eastern

How does it happen that a California judge can upend millennia of accepted standards for society by saying that gender plays no role in marriage? Or a court can approve a Florida school district’s deal with liberalsto ban teachers from praying – even when they’re off-campus?

A new report by John Gizzi of the Capital Research Center, to be released within the next few days, has an explanation: A powerful move by very wealthy interests across the United States to reshape the judiciary in the mold of progressives who believe the Constitution should be interpreted through the filter of personal desires.

And the primary force behind the move? George Soros, the hedge fund billionaire who personally provides the money for a number of liberal advocacy organizations such as

Learn what happens when the government breaks its own laws, in “Constitutional Chaos”

“George Soros plans to influence the selection of state Supreme Court justices across the country. He’s funding massive efforts to end judicial elections in state after state, pushing instead for ‘merit based appointments’ that favor the political interests of the liberal lawyers who pick the judges,” Matthew Vadum, the CRC chief who edited Gizzi’s report, told WND.

“Because state Supreme Courts may have a say in redistricting after the 2010 Census is completed it is essential that citizens and state officeholders scrutinize who’s behind efforts to overturn judicial elections,” he said.

Read the special report on America’s judiciary.

“How many Elena Kagans and David Souters?”

“Voters don’t normally pay attention to state Supreme Court elections but if they don’t start watching them Soros could engineer a judicial revolution. Soros could install judge after judge who views the Constitution as a so-called living document, that is, a worthless piece of paper onto which judges can project their own personal political views. How many Elena Kagans and David Souters canAmerica tolerate?” Vadum asked.

The report follows an analysis by the American Justice Partnership that confirmed Soros already has spent some $45 million to change state procedures from electing judges to having them appointed – after being nominated by a clique of elites.

The report, by attorney Colleen Pero, described Soros’ plans to “remake the judiciary and fundamentally change the way judges are selected in the United States.”

Gizzi’s report explains that Soros wants to remove voters from the process through which judges are nominated, elected or retained. Instead, he wants to have them chosen by elite teams of mostly lawyers, appointed by the politically powerful and protected while in office.

Gizzi noted the campaigns that have been launched in recent weeks, including the one in Iowa where voters stand a real chance this year of firing three of the state Supreme Court justices who ordered same-sex “marriage” created in the state.

Similar campaigns are under way in Kansas and Colorado, he said.

“The common denominator in Colorado, Iowa and Kansas is that Supreme Court justices in these states are initially picked according to a merit selection system,” Gizzi explained.

“A key player in the emerging battles over state court selections is George Soros. … Soros has contributed more than $45 million over the past decade to several dozen special interest advocacy groups affiliated with an umbrella 501(c)(3) organization called Justice at Stake. … [which] has as its mission the ‘reform’ of the process for selecting state judges.”

Gizzi continued, “A principal goal for JAS is to replace judicial elections with a system of ‘merit election.'”

‘Voters will never get to reject judges’

“There are many advocates for ‘merit selection’ of state judges, but wherever you look the hand and purse of George Soros, ‘paymaster of the left,’ is obvious. Soros has the resources and the allies. If he gets his way, voters in all 50 states will never get to elect, retain or reject their judges,” he warned.

So what’s the problem with judges being nominated by attorneys?

“Of the appellate nominees in Missouri (where judges are nominated by special commissions and appointed) since 1995 who made any campaign contributions, 87 percent gave more to Democrats than Republicans and only 13 percent gave more to Republicans than Democrats,” the report said.

The apparent intended result of Soros’ campaign is to have a steady stream of Democrat-leaning judges groomed and installed on the bench, the report suggested.

Just getting the judges on the bench is the major part of the work, since federal judges serve lifetime appointments, and even in state courts there seldom are firings.

“Sitting judges win retention elections 98.9 percent of the time,” Gizzi reported. “A sample study of 10 states … found that in 4,588 retention elections in 1964-1998 only 52 judges were not retained.”

In Iowa, where voters are trying to remove three justices, there hasn’t been a judge booted from office in nearly five decades.

Gizzi quotes historian David Pietrusza, who said, “The idea that appointing court of appeals judges makes for less politics and better decisions is a concept simultaneously elitist and naïve. Political maneuvering has merely moved into a shabbier and more shadowy back room within the house of politics.”

‘No such accountability’

The earlier AJP report said the Soros campaign is “highly-coordinated, well-funded” and is intended to “exclude conservative, rule-of-law judges from the bench.”

The report noted Soros’ game plan was explained by a retired judge, who said, “I do not mean to suggest that elected judges are necessarily unqualified or corrupt, but rather that merit selection is far superior to selection by election, since the voting public does not have the slightest idea which candidates are qualified or what are the qualifications for a good judge. As I have said previously, there is a suggestion that elections should be retained because they make judges accountable to the people, but there should be no such accountability.” (emphasis added)

The California same-sex marriage decision was by Vaughn Walker, who determined that voters would not be allowed to define marriage in their own state constitution as being between one man and one woman.

His opinion said:

  • “Religious beliefs that gay and lesbian relationships are sinful or inferior to heterosexual relationships harm gays and lesbians.”
  • “Rather, the exclusion exists as an artifact of a time when the genders were seen as having distinct roles in society and in marriage. That time has passed.”
  • “Gender no longer forms an essential part of marriage; marriage under law is a union of equals.”

In Florida, Liberty Counsel has been battling a case in the Santa Rosa County School District in which district officials agreed to comply with an ACLU demand that teachers be banned from praying, even off-campus.

California – San Diego – Somalis are the third largest group in San Diego and they are “having trouble integrating”

October 4, 2010

I remember visiting San Diego when I was 14 and again at 23.  The place had changed.  When I was 14 it was affluent.  When I came back at 23 it was not great and had many Mexican illegals.  Now, I’m reading this and it brings chills up my spine.

This is a FAST invasion.  This is an invasion that is crafted by the Globalists.  What the Communists, here don’t understand, is that the Muslims that have joined hands with them, they are seeking world domination as well.  The Muslim Communist sees the movement as a tool to establish a Caliphate. The Communists see the strength in numbers, but they are arrogant and believe they will win.

This is a dereliction of duty by our Federal Government who’s ONLY job is to DEFEND the sovereignty of the US.

Somalis, San Diego and the Southern border

Before reading further, please have a look at this map of California.  Notice how close San Diego and El Cajon are to the southern border—convenient huh!

San Diego - Incredible! That’s what people are saying about what is happening in America today whether in New York or our own backyard here in San Diego. While churches struggle to meet their budgets (both North Coast Church in Vista and North Coast Calvary Chapel in Carlsbad have built new edifices recently to accommodate their growing membership—a challenge in a declining economy), expensive mosques are popping up everywhere. Recently, just in time for Ramadan, a new Islamic Center opened in Santaluz, North County—a building costing some 5.5 million dollars. Many San Diegans opposed this construction but eventually accepted their fate gracefully in the name of tolerance Temecula now faces a similar problem. But so far the people have not relinquished their right to show their disapproval of building a Muslim edifice in this peaceful old town with a distinctly Christian penchant

Within just a couple of days, I’ve come across four articles about San Diego and refugees—at least one was sent to me by The Opinionator.   We’ve previously written dozens of posts mentioning San Diego, here, and its suburb El Cajon, but now comes word that this area in California is the largest resettlement site in the US.

From an article at San Diego 10 News that is primarily focused on Iraqi refugees going to El Cajon we learn:

EL CAJON, Calif. — The U.S. State Department reports San Diego County has become the nation’s largest resettlement site for refugees from around the world.

U.S. State Department reports showed Chaldeans (Christians from Iraq mostly) have become the fastest-growing refugee community in San Diego, with Burmese refugees (Christians and Muslims included) making up the second-largest group, followed by Somalis (Muslims).   [Religions added to this quote by RRW]

San Diego a Somali anchor community

So if Somalis are the third largest group in San Diego, and this article at Bartamaha, a Somali publication, says there are 20,000 Somalis in San Diego County, then there are one heck of a lot of Iraqis and Burmese.  So, what I’m getting to is that San Diego is a perfect place to hide.

20,000 and some are having trouble integrating!

And for thousands, the exodus [from Africa] led them to San Diego through the refugee resettlement program. The city has nearly 20,000 Somalis. They have bought houses, businesses and are raising families. Many live in City Heights where women wear burkas, markets sell halal meat and men walk to prayers at neighborhood mosques.

Some Somalis such as Ali Artan say assimilation has not come easily.

“It will be hard and a long road that they can integrate with the mainstream,” he said.

Many of these immigrants came from rural areas and do not speak English.

Mohamoud says unemployment within San Diego’s Somali community is between 40 and 50 percent.

“Many of them are just settling for whatever jobs they could get, part-time, odd jobs, you tend to see some customer service at hotels…maybe some janitorial, housekeeping, security guards,” Mohamoud said.

Even with the bad economy, Somalis keep coming to the anchor community they’ve established in San Diego. In the past two years, the number of Somalis immigrating to the U.S. through the political asylum process has increased. And some of them are taking a circuitous path that’s raising red flags within the intelligence community.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

So what is that all about?  Red flags within the intelligence community?

We know something about San Diego red flags because we told you a year ago this month (here) that Somali former refugee youths leaving the country to go to Somalia for terrorist training have left through Southern California.

Are San Diego Somalis going to Africa? This article says not yet anyway.  Maybe not those living there, but their friends arriving from points east can disappear into the large Somali community before making their way south.

The bigger question:  Who is coming in?

Amita Sharma the same reporter who wrote the above linked article, on the day before wrote this for KPBS News:

SAN DIEGO — Each week, five to 10 East Africans arrive at the U.S. ports of entry in San Diego from Mexico. Many are Somali. They are often well-dressed, young men fluent in English. They ask for political asylum from war-torn Somalia. Federal agents in San Diego spoke about these cases to KPBS on condition of anonymity. They say a majority of these claims are legitimate. But they say there are strong indications that others are not.

As one agent told KPBS, “We are responsible for the security and safety of the people of the United States and we really don’t know who is coming.”

Federal investigators say Somalis are entering with inadequate identification at a time when the Al-Qaeda-linked Somali Islamist group al-Shabab has threatened to attack the United States. And they say the Somalis are taking a suspicious route.

Be sure to vist the article to see the details of the suspicious route.  And remember we told you this (here) previously when a Virginia man was indicted and ultimately released for helping (by his own admission!) 270 Somalis to enter the US illegally.  The case was dismissed when none of those he allegedly helped could be found (no evidence=no crime).

Who is paying for the well-dressed and fluent in English Somali men to cross the border and seek asylum?  Terrorists?  Families? NGO’s?  All three?

Federal agents say the cost of the entire journey can be $60,000.

Chris Harnisch is a former research analyst with the American Enterprise Institute. “Most Somalis aren’t earning $2 a day, so most Somalis, especially refugees are not going to have the money to do this,” Harnisch said.

Harnisch believes these Somalis could be funded by al-Shabab.

But there could be other reasons. He’s the former director of policy and planning for Customs and Border Protection. He says the Somalis’ journey might be financed by relatives or non-governmental organizations.

Be sure to read the entire article and pay special attention to the broken asylum system discussion.

But a federal agent tells KPBS “What people here should realize is how broken our political asylum system is. People have gotten through who pose a terrorism risk.”

No surprise here:  Immigration attorney defends the system

Writing at the pro-Open Borders Immigration Daily, asylum attorney Jason Dzubow asks why would a terrorist subject himself to the asylum system.

I have represented many Africans who have traveled to the U.S. in a similar fashion. The route often takes them through different African countries, then to South America, Central America, Mexico, and the United States. They use one or more false passports and meet several different smugglers along the way. The trip is circuitous and strange, and it is not clear why people pass through so many different countries (my guess is that the smugglers can get more money if they make the journey longer).

Nevertheless, people are crossing our Southern border and applying for asylum, and we do not know much about them. This certainly does present a security threat, but it must be viewed in context–Many more people cross the border, never claim asylum, and live here illegally. Given that asylum seekers undergo a background check (albeit imperfect) and government interviews (also imperfect), it seems that any terrorist would be better off entering the U.S. and not seeking asylum. Why initiiate contact with government authorities if you plan to engage in criminal activity?

However, we learned in the KPBS report that almost no one is turned down in the asylum system.  Perhaps these well-dressed Somalis know that.  Maybe they aren’t carrying a suitcase nuke because their jihadist plans are long-term.  But answer this Mr. Dzukow, who is paying for their trip?   It hardly makes sense to pay $60,000 to get to America for a meatpacking job paying $8 an hour, does it?

Let’s have Congressional hearings to answer all these questions!

Participating in the event were, from left, Pete Worden, director of the NASA Ames Research Center; Rep. Mike Honda; Martha Kanter, chancellor of the Foothill-De Anza Community College District; Chancellor Blumenthal; Rep. Zoe Lofgren; Father Michael Engh, president of Santa Clara University; Rep. Eshoo; Jared Cohon, president of Carnegie Mellon University. (Photographs by Terry Way)

In January, if the Republicans regain the majority in the House and Senate, we must demand hearings on the flaws in the refugee and asylum system that may be jeopardizing American security.  If Democrats keep their majority you can forget any hearings from the likes of CALIFORNIA  Rep. Zoe Lofgren who thought it was a brilliant move to havecomedian Stephen Colbert waste our taxpayer dollars and our time with silly and embarrassing comedic testimony.

<—> Check out Zoe’s VOTING RECORD HERE<—>

Let’s get serious about investigating Somali comings and goings!   We can start with calling Mr. Dzukow to testify.
