Egypt on the Brink of Revolution; EIN News Offers Complete Breaking News Coverage

WASHINGTON, Jan. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Egypt’s government has pulled the plug on all Internet and telephone traffic in an effort to quell the violence that today has brought tens of thousands of protesters into the streets. But EIN News’ lines into the country remain open through all of the websites and other sources it continues to monitor.

For a time Nobel Peace Prize winner and the nation’s leading pro-democracy advocate Mohamed ElBaradei was trapped inside a mosque while riot police fired tear gas. The Muslim Brotherhood has joined the protests today, swelling the numbers.

Meanwhile, in Jordan spurred by the Egyptian protests, thousands of Jordanians are in the streets demanding the ouster of their country’s prime minister.

I’m definitely completely happy about everything that transpired in Egypt. Ultimately, the tyranny of Hosni Mubarak has come to an stop. And all occurred simply because of the bravery of the egyptians. I pray that the example will expand through all the Middle East. Freedom now! Peace.

The foolish demand change for change sake. Democracy is not FREEDOM and it doesn’t mean that people are FREE to do WHATEVER they want. Please, read the US CONSTITUTION. Revolution is not just the fight against something. Real REVOLUTION is to fight TOWARD a concrete IDEA. A REVOLUTION in IDEOLOGY and not just a struggle against a wall. Forget the wall. Create an IDEA to run to. THAT I have not seen in EGYPT or anywhere in the ME. THIS is why it will fail. I’m sorry. There will be nothing but continued tyranny there, because the strong men in the fight are ISLAMISTS. I’m not hopeful. I would be the first person to support REAL freedom, but this is not what is going on. Islam will be the rule and the oligarchs will rule. The THEOCRACY is the outcome and ISLAM is at it’s core a TYRANNY. It’s CONQUEST and SUBMISSION. Get ready for another, even more brutal regime. Sad.
